Edwardian

There is something about the Edwardian era that evokes images of blazer clad gentlemen pouring champagne for their lady companions on lazy summer afternoons. Picnics by the river with discussion about the next house party and perhaps the ladies showing a little more ankle than their Victorian mothers. And of course wearing fine, delicate jewellery, seed pearls and the eternal favourite – diamonds.

A time for the upper classes and industrialists to enjoy the fruits of commerce, international trade and scientific advances. Great Houses still in full sail and perhaps the last glimpse of an earlier era before the changes that would come with the start of the Great War in 1914. Reflecting on the style of the times, Mrs. Boggitt has always particularly liked the fine lace and silk clothing from Edwardian England – preferably embellished with a Platinum, Negligee or Sautoir necklace.  It always seems to make an impression on Mr. Bond at least…….
