Welcome to Mrs Boggitt’s Diary

Fine pieces of jewellery are treasured – perhaps because of the occasion on which they were presented, or because of an emotional attachment. The quality and the style of the pieces are central to the experience – the way they fit with the fashion of the period and the way they can transcend the passage of time. Deco rings for example, work just as well today as they did in the 1920′s – if you put them with the right dress or suit.

I love jewellery from Georgian times right through to the 1950′s (and I confess to loving modern pieces from leading jewellers such as Boodles).  I love it to the point that I seek out pieces that I think you would enjoy, and often have an internal debate about which ones might end up in my personal collection rather than being offered for sale through Boggitt and Bond.

I have been dealing in antiques for longer than it is polite for a lady to admit, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of my experiences through my diary pages.

With kindest regards

Mrs Boggitt.
